The motorway viaduct consists of two parallel bridges of 11 spans. The deck of each bridge is formed by a single cell box girder which was cast span-by span in a formwork supported by a movable scaffolding. Since the construction technology required a structure without pier diaphragms, a very detailed analysis of the space behavior of the structure was performed. The box girder is hinge‑connected with middle piers, therefore the bridge forms a semi‑integral structural system.
