The Old Bridge across the Danube River - New bridge

Completed in 2016

The bridge, which transfers the tram public transport across the river, consists of a continuous truss structure of six spans. The tram traffic is situated between truss girders; bicycle and pedestrian lanes are located on the overhangs. The superstructure was progressively assembled on the river bank and then was incrementally launched into the design position. Static effects in the launched cantilever were reduced by a temporary support situated on the vessel.
