Sport’s Pedestrian Bridge across the River Olse in Cesky Tesin

Completed in 2012

The pedestrian bridge that bridges the border river Olše connects Czech and Polish Těšín. The bridge consists of a curved steel girder, which is suspended on an inclined arch in the main span on the inner edge. The beam, which has an asymmetric chamber cross-section, is woven into the end supports; the arch is woven into the beam. The torsional effects are reduced by radial forces from the prestressing of the outer cables routed in the edges of the beam.
