Pedestrian Bridge across the Becva River in a City of Vsetin

Under construction

The bridge, which diagonally spans the Becva River, is a self‑anchored suspended structure of two spans. The concrete deck is suspended on the outer edges on suspension cables supported by an inclined steel pylon situated in the longitudinal bridge axis. The slender deck of a variable width is formed by a slab structure, which is lightened by rectangle waffles in the suspended span. Since the bridge deck is fixed into end abutments supported by micro‑piles, the bridge forms an economical integrated structural system.
