The high‑speed railway (HSR) line near a city of Velké Meziříčí crosses the Oslava River valley on a 362‑meter‑long bridge. The crossing consists of a main arch bridge and connecting viaducts on both sides. The main bridge features a reinforced concrete arch supporting a prestressed concrete deck. The arch has a span of 180 meters and a rise of 32 meters. The depth of the arch varies continuously from 1.80 meters at mid‑span to 2.50 meters at the arch springs. As the bridge follows a curved alignment in plan, the arch width also varies continuously, ranging from 7.00 meters at the center to 7.92 meters at the footings. The deck consists of a double tee girder structure with a constant depth of 2.50 meters. The deck is divided by expansion joints to allow for the design of continuous welded rails.
The design, which was developed in cooperation with Studio Acht, Prague, won second prize in an international architectural competition.
