Bridge across the Váh River

Completed in 2010

The Motorway D1 highway bridges the River Vah, the railway and several local highways on a 958 m long bridge. The bridge has 10 spans, eight spans are suspended on seven low pylons in the bridge axis. Both directions of the highway are carried by a single structure formed by of one-cell box girder with large overhangs supported by precast struts. The bridge was built in symmetrical cantilevers from the piers.
