Motorway D1 Viaduct across the Odra River

Completed in 2009

The viaduct, which consists of two parallel bridges of 21 spans, bridges the Odra River, local roads and waterways, as well as the railway. Both bridges are formed by a continuous beam of a double tee cross-section, which is indirectly supported on narrow wall supports in the structure´s axis. In the prevailing bridge part, the girder has a constant thickness of 2.40 m, which changes linearly to 1.80 m at the railway. In the span bridging the river, the double tee cross-section is reinforced by a bottom slab at supports.
